The Emergency Response Centre (ERC) is a national centre that responds to emergency calls and emergency requests. The ERC handles emergency calls which are made to the 112 emergency number in all of Lithuania. The 112 number is intended for calling emergency services: the fire department, the ambulance, the police. This integral emergency number allows callers to contact all emergency services from landline telephones, payphones and mobile phones free of charge not only in Lithuania, but also in all of the 28 European Union member states, as well as some countries outside the EU and Europe. The Emergency Response Centre provides continuous services: it works 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Project: The maintenance and development of the Emergency Response Centre’s (ERC) information system.
Goals and objectives of the project / Services provided: The 112 information system is a complex solution of several harmoniously integrated subsystems that ensures receiving and processing requests for urgent help, the control and monitoring of the assistance provision process and expeditious control of emergency forces. During the execution of this project InnoForce Group, together with its joint venture partner JSC “InnoSeven Technologies”, was responsible for securing an uninterrupted functioning of this system and providing an addition to the system, which enabled receiving emergency requests by SMS messages.
